SR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER - The successful candidate will work with customers and
support business development. The successful candidate will work on team of
design engineers to define requirements for a network (radios, routers,
switches and supporting technology) and network management that satisfies
requirements. The individual needs to be process oriented.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Architect and design of networking and network
management systems. Supports the organization in writing of the tech proposals
and/or presenting to the government. Supports program management in marketing
support and customer relationships. Transforms customer objectives into
concepts of operation and requirements. Provides inputs with recommendations
on key trade-off decisions on architecture and design. Able to work both with
sub-contractors and/or the contractor/government. Includes knowledge of
modeling, simulating, requirements analysis and allocation, architecture
specification, risk analysis, technical planning, system integration,
verification and validation, and life cycle considerations. System Engineer
Senior Staff candidates are expected to use professional concepts in
accordance with company objectives and policies and actively participate with
peers in a team environment.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of system engineer standards & requirements.
Knowledge of management tools such as DOORS is a plus. Prior DoD or military
experience a plus. Candidates should be capable of expressing themselves
clearly both orally and in writing. Provide system level management of
technical interfaces with customers, subcontractors, and contractors.
Experience with architect and design of tactical networks and or network
management systems. Experience working on unusually complex tech problems &
provides innovative & ingenious solutions. This position requires a Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 10 years of experience in the
following areas: Architect & design of networks.– Network management systems
design. Government proposals in both technical writing and costing,
information security/network security. Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
