Job Description:

PRINC. SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Participate in all phases of system development as a
security systems engineer. Support system development efforts on the FCS
project. Assist in the definition & implementation of systems & top level
design or in the certification of the FCS system. Apply knowledge of systems,
networks, security principles & engineering disciplines to develop high
assurance systems solutions. Interface & work with customers, users, security
community & project teams to define, analyze & meet customer needs. Provide
expertise in applying systematic processes to analysis, design,
implementation, I&T certification activities. Requires good oral/written
communication & interpersonal skills to support work in a team environment.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
Systems engineer with 9 years experience in DoD system development background,
prior DoD or military experience a plus. Requires interfacing with customers
& flowing customer requirements down to engineering team. Ability to think
outside the box & help customer develop visionary approaches by apply emerging
technologies. Experience in some of the following desired but not required:
INFOSEC, TRANSEC, COMSEC, OPSEC, Network Management, Key Management, COMPUSEC,
Common Criteria, DITSCAP (DIACAP), DoD 8500.1, DCID 6/3, IPSEC, Certification,
Accreditation, Multi Level Security, Network Security, Guards/Firewalls
Experience. CISSP, ISSEP Certification a plus. * Position requires applicant
be a US citizen & be able to obtain a US Security Clearance. Applicant must be
able to support travel approximately 20% of the time.
