Job Description:

INFORMATION ASSURANCE OFFICER - A diverse & growing business with products
that include messaging systems, high speed encryption, network encryption, &
computer products which are produced & sold worldwide. Persons seeking this
position must be highly motivated, a self-starter, & be able to handle
multiple tasks. Knowledge of certification/accreditation process is required.
Experience in the SAP/SAR security arena is highly desirable. Preferred
candidate would have a working knowledge of DCID 6/3 Protection level 3 & 4
requirements, with excellent oral & written communication skills. Applicant
selected will be subject to Government security investigation & must meet
specific eligibility requirements for access to SCI & Special Access
classified information. Consent to Counter-Intelligence polygraph required.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
Computer Science degree (BSCE/BSEE/BSCS) or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent
security experience with classified DoD intelligence computer system security
requirements. The selected individual will provide day-to-day security
operation & maintenance of a Trusted Wide Area network. Duties will include,
but are not limited to the following: user account administration, media
control, security audit reviews, system & software security testing
implementation & enforcement of DoD computer security olicies/procedures /
directives, & computer security training. The individual will also draft &
coordinate System Security Plans, security accreditation packages, test &
evaluation plans, trusted facilities manuals & system specific policies &
procedures. Familiarity with Trusted Solaris is preferred. Familiarity with
Sun Solaris software & Sun hardware is highly desired. Familiarity with
general Unix OS functionality is essential. Will perform work without
appreciable direction. Will frequently interact with end users/customers. Will
periodically work in customer business spaces.
