Job Description:

SR SOFTWARE DEFINED RADIO SW ENGINEER - The candidate is responsible for
embedded SW development for a Software Defined Radio (SDR) & must be able to
complete all phases of the software development life cycle including
requirements, design, coding, integration, testing, documentation & peer
reviews. The individual should have an understanding of processes consistent
with managed software development & configuration management (CM) tools (i.e.
ClearCase, ClearQuest). The candidate is expected to work in a team
environment as well as independently & demonstrate quick comprehension of
technical concepts coupled with effective written & verbal communication
skills. It is desirable that the candidate has good analytical/problem solving
skills & the ability to troubleshoot problems as they occur throughout the SW
development life cycle.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
This position requires a BS in EE/CpE or equivalent experience with at least 5
years of experience. Employee should possess the following:
* Experience with RTOS (VxWorks/Itegrity) * Experience with the Visual C++
environment * Proficient programming experience in C language & have
experience in OO design (UML & CORBA experience a plus) * Ability to use lab
equipment (emulators, O-scopes, logic analyzers, comm analyzers)
* RF/Communications domain experience a plus * Knowledge of software process &
SEI/CMMI levels. Must communicate well & work with several different
engineering functional areas. Knowledge of crypto equipment internals is a
plus * Experience with the Rational suite of software tools a plus *
Experience with military waveforms a plus. Employee must be a U.S citizen, &
will be required to receive a COMSEC briefing.
