Job Description:

SOFTWARE BUILD TECHNICIAN -
The candidate will participate as a key team member on the HMS Incremental
Build Team which is responsible for the multiple load lines & product releases
& daily incremental builds. Candidate will also be responsible for the
supporting HMS development tools. Tasks include, at a minimum, progress
tracking, participation in HMS build team roadmap/strategy, daily interface
with software development community, ICM, engineering software task & project
leaders, quality assurance & IT support teams as required. The candidate must
have a demonstrated working knowledge of the configuration management process
& software development process in an SEI CMM or CMMI environment. Demonstrate
ability to motivate team or project to develop innovative ideas resolving
business or project related issues. Ability to lead team in identification of
innovative decisions to continuously improve team or project performance is a
plus.
A higher or lower grade may be established based upon qualifications &
experience. A minimum 7-10 years of configuration management, software or
systems engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years experience
administering ClearCase, ClearCase MultiSite &/or Rational suite. Knowledge &
experience with additional Rational Suite tools & Cygwin experience is a plus.
Demonstrated abilities as they relate to schedule development & status,
metrics tracking & analysis, & development customer support are desired.
Excellent oral, written & interpersonal skills to support interaction with
internal team. Desirable experience/knowledge includes: PC applications in an
MS Windows 2000/XP environment, Unix, Perl, Korn shell, Visual Basic, Java,
Test manager, Livelink, & SharePoint. Applicant must have a Secret US Security
Clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen.
