MODELING & SIMULATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER - BS Degree in a software engineering
discipline with 3+ years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience.
This position is seeking a technical contributor as an individual software
designer in the development of military C2 Training environments using
Simulation & Stimulation. Candidate must have prior software development
experience in design & implementation of military simulation or commercial
game technologies. Software design, coding, implementation, & testing of small
to moderate software simulation solutions is required. Candidate will work for
the GDC4S Team in Orlando performing full lifecycle software engineering on
modeling, simulation & training programs. This position requires software
requirements analysis, detailed design, implementation & test of software as
well as development & test of software systems & software applications.
Demonstrated experience working within a project group & across departments is
desired. Expanded contact within internal work groups. Usually participates
with other members of the team. Mentee relationship(s) established. Occasional
outside business contact.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
Candidate must have at least 2-3 years experience in software development &
coding. Embedded Software development a plus. Candidate must have at least 2-3
years experience working with C/C++, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008,
Greenhills Software Integrity or in a Microsoft .NET development environment,
using Object Oriented Design & software design architectures with focus in two
or more of the following areas: JBOSS, JAVA 5, JEE 5, J2EE, Hibernate, or JSP.
Experience with low level driver & microcontroller development (ARM7/9), Java
SDK 1.5 or later, Java Enterprise Edition middleware, Web Services, SOA
frameworks, eclipse, & Database design is desired. Experience with DIS/HLA
simulation protocols or other networking protocols is desired. Experience with
OPNET modeling software is a plus. Knowledge of software compilation & link
processes is required. Experience with software debugging & software problem
identification/isolation is required. Knowledge of configuration management &
CMMI software processes & metrics is desired. Experience with software
requirements analysis, software design, software implementation & software
testing is desired. Demonstrated experience in software team participation &
software project execution is required. Successful accomplishments must
include participation in the delivery of small to moderate software intensive
systems. Candidate must be able to travel 20% of the time.
