Job Description:

SR SYSTEMS/SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Senior systems engineer with a strong software
background. Lead the planning, design/development, integration, &
demonstration of systems associated with the dismounted soldier of today's
armed services. Lead &/or heavily contribute to new/expanded business
proposals, communicate/coordinate with numerous personnel & organizations in
order to plan & execute prototyping & demonstration activities, & lead teams
in the design/development/integration/test/support of soldier-centric systems.
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification & validation,
cost & risk, & supportability & effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include:
concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance &
disposal. Ensures the logical & systematic conversion of customer or product
requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical,
schedule, & cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis,
detail trade studies, requirements allocation & interface definition studies
to translate customer requirements into hardware & software specifications.
Displays a depth of knowledge across multiple technical areas. Participates in
development of technical strategies & teaming strategies on multiple projects.
Leads medium sized technical proposals & contributes to large proposals.
Effectively bridges functional boundaries through listening to & comprehending
co concerns of both technical & management communities.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering +9 years of
demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced Degree Desired.
Candidate(s) must have a solid systems engineering skillset but also have a
strong background in software engineering as well. Additional desires include
project planning & leadership, excellent written & oral communciation, &
experience in all phases of a system's lifecycle. Experience with soldier
systems is a definite plus. Must be a U.S. citizen & capable of obtaining a
U.S. security clearance. Some travel is required.
