CPI Wins Elite Award From Best And Brightest Committee 2016

Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) was honored by the Metropolitan Detroits Best and Brightest Places To Work For Committee with an elite award for recruitment, selection and orientation, at the Best and Brightest awards ceremony on September 23, at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

CPIs focus on veteran recruitment, placement and retention was cited by the Best and Brightest Committee as exemplary. CPI has won both the best and brightest award, as well as the elite award for two consecutive years in a row.

In order to qualify to become an elite award winner, companies must be a one of Metropolitan Detroits Best and Brightest Companies To Work For. Only 10 out of 101 award winners received an elite award.jim-wins

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment. Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.

Media personalities Devin Scillian and Tom Jordan hosted this early morning event. The first speaker was Michele Hodges, President, Belle Isle Conservancy. Hodges spoke about the resurgence of Detroit and the role the conservancy plays in that process.

Jed Howbert, Executive Director, Jobs and Economy Team, Detroit Mayors Office followed Hodges with a presentation on the resurgence of Detroit and Michigan along with planned projects and the future needs for talent in the region.

three Following the speakers the group of more than 500 attendees participated in a community project for St. Johns, filling bags with toiletries and other personal items to be used by patients and guests of the hospital system.

Winning the elite award caps off an extraordinary couple of years for CPI. Within 24 months, CPI has garnered six awards for their work with veterans including the SBAs Veteran Owned Business Of The Year, 2016 and Crains Cool Places to Work, 2016.

The CPI team is particularly proud to win the elite award because it highlights the work we are doing to employ out-processing military personnel and veterans, said Jim Cowper, President, CPI.
