CPI Wins Crain’s Cool Places To Work 2017 – Ranking #2 Out Of 100

Certified service disabled veteran owned (SDVOSB) (NVBDC) Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) is proud to rank #2 out of 100 on the 2017 Crains Cool Places to Work Michigan list. This is the second time in a row that CPI has made the list, ranking #7 out of the 75 companies that were named on the 2016 Cool Places to Work Michigan list. The genesis of the Michigan Cool Places program is about recognizing a diverse group of Michigan companies, all of whom are making an effort to attract and retain top talent in Metro Detroit and beyond.

All participating companies are required to fill out a comprehensive survey, which measures the cool factor inside each company. The survey gauges everything from charitable activities and health care benefit packages to employee perks and benefits. All employees also receive an 80-question confidential survey, which allows them to “get real” about the company that they work for. They can rate their companies’ culture, benefits and perks without corporate interference.

“Because we put veterans to work everyday, we already think that CPI is pretty cool,” said Jay Vorobel, Vice President, Eastern Region, CPI. “But we do strive to give our employees a progressive work environment where they can thrive and grow.”

CPI employee perks include but are not limited to our meditation room, a paid day off to go and get a yearly health physical, access to a medical doctor who specializes in health and nutrition, Bocce Ball events on the front lawn of the corporate office and flex schedules for all employees based around putting family first.

Although CPI works very hard to provide all our employees with additional perks, the biggest thing CPI offers our employees is a sense of community and a corporate structure, which supports the growth and development of each CPI team member. CPI fosters an open door policy, and strives to find new ways to provide individualized professional development opportunities company wide.

When Steve York, Founder and CEO of CPI started CPI more than 35 years ago, he did so with the intent to build a successful business around his core values, which included treating his employees like family.
