For the third consecutive year, the CPI team was proud to receive an award recognizing CPI as one of Metropolitan Detroits Best and Brightest Companies to Work For 2017. The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For awards competition provides the business community with the opportunity to gain recognition, showcase their best practices and demonstrate why each of them would be an ideal place for employees to work.

As military personnel transition out of the United States Armed Forces into the civilian workforce, CPIs goal is to ensure that they are given the opportunity to use their unique skill sets and strong work ethic, in service of their new employers.

CPI has been finding employment opportunities for out-processing military personnel and veterans since 1982. CPI’s founder and CEO, Steve York is a Michigan native and a US Air Force Veteran, serving from 1968-1976. Steve served his first four years in Aircraft Maintenance achieving the rank of E-5 or Staff ELITE BEST AND BRIGHTEST 2017Sargent and the last four years, as a member of the Michigan Medical Recruiting Team. Because he has experience with military recruitment, Steve used what he knew to launch CPI, which would become one of the fastest growing Michigan businesses in the late eighties; just five years after his company launch.

CPI has remained profitable for more than 35 consecutive years, employing approximately 2,300 veterans since 1982.
