Contract Professionals, Inc.  Receives Veteran Owned Small Business Certification (VOSB) From The Department of Veterans Affairs

Waterford, Michigan – December 1, 2015 - A veteran owned global staffing company, Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) was recently certified as a veteran owned small business (VOSB) by the Department of Veterans Affairs.  Uniquely positioned as a VOSB with a mission to put veterans to work, CPI is poised for expansion.

According to CPI’s President, Jim Cowper, the VOSB classification gives CPI entrée into many supplier diversity programs within the industries, which the company serves. “Our new status places CPI on a new trajectory of measurable long term growth,” said Cowper.

The CEO of CPI, Steve York founded the company after being honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1976. York spearheaded the effort to obtain the VOSB certification.

In addition to providing verifiable proof that York is a veteran and a majority stake holder in the company, CPI was also required to disclose all of its’ companies financials for three consecutive years, along with payroll records, organizational charts and articles of incorporation.

York explained that although arduous in nature, the certification process is designed to thoroughly investigate veteran owned companies, thereby creating a high level of credibility.
