For us, Memorial Day is personal.
CPI was founded by Steve York, a U.S. Air Force veteran, with a mission: to help military veterans transition successfully into meaningful civilian careers. Over the years, that mission expanded — today, as a service-disabled veteran owned talent solutions company, we are proud to put both veterans and civilians to work in critical defense and commercial roles across the country.
But here’s a perspective we want to share this Memorial Day, one that speaks to everyone in the CPI family — veterans and civilians alike:

Yes, Memorial Day is a time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We reflect on their courage, their service, and the families they left behind. But there’s another part to this story that too often goes unspoken:
